MEMBERS
Membership of the Committee is open to all Member Nations and Associate Members of FAO and/or WHO which are members of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, within the geographic location of Latin America and the Caribbean.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
 
BACKGROUND
The Coordinating Committee for Latin America was established at the 10th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CCA) held in Rome, Italy, in July 1974. Its first Session took place in the same city in March 1976. In order to reflect the participation of the countries of the Region, its name was later changed to Codex Coordinating Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean (CCLAC).
 

STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE FAO/WHO COORDINATING COMMITTEE FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN (CCLAC)

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

T o optimize the role of CCLAC and the contributions of its Members within the Codex Alimentarius Commission and the Latin America and the Caribbean region .
